SilverKeeper Version: 1.1.4

About SilverKeeper

A freeware application from LaCie that automates backups to external storage devices like hard disks, optical disks, and other removable storage devices that have IDE, ATAPI, SCSI, USB, or Firewire interfaces. Any read/write device that can mount on the Macintosh Desktop as a writeable volume can be used with SilverKeeper. Network shares can also be used.

What’s New in this Version
- Added automatic management of “Ignore Ownership” volume flag. User is warned if destination volume is set to ignore ownership, and is cleared by SilverKeeper if the user asks.
- Fixed UNIX symbolic link files to work correctly with Tiger. Tiger prevents setting file dates, so we now check actual contents before updating.
- Added delay and retry to launch of “copy tool” process under Tiger (also added user warning if launch fails)
- Many more enhancements.
